Bono. Stipe. Yorke. Three of the world’s biggest rock stars. Except…big they ain’t! I met Bono once, drunken and stumbling on a Saturday afternoon (him, not me). In platform shoes he was 5′5″, tops. I stood several feet away from Stipe during a photo shoot. No taller than Bono, and probably half his weight. Which leads me to the following theory, sure to turn the rock world upside down: the bigger the star, the smaller the stature. Maybe I’m just paranoid, but why can’t a big guy be a big star? Is this some sort of artists-getting-back-at-jocks thing? Maybe. More
